About HypoActive
HypoActive is a support group for people living with type 1 diabetes interested in exercise. It is based in Melbourne but members are from across Australia. We run many events and activities, including entering teams in exercise challenges, running an annual conference on exercise and type 1 diabetes (called AcT1vate), promoting the need for further research in this area, publishing achievements of type 1s and producing a monthly newsletter all about type 1 diabetes and exercise.
About Team Type 1
Team Type 1 began as a grassroots initiative to motivate people to take control of their diabetes using cycling as a platform. It grew to become a world-class athletic program for athletes with diabetes, including a professional men's cycling team, poised to compete at the 2012 Tour de France. Today, it is a global sports organization changing the lives of people with diabetes around the world through racing, groundbreaking research, international outreach and philanthropic initiatives in developing countries.
