On behalf of HypoActive I would like to invite you to our 2009 Christmas breakup. This is our first official social event which has come about in response to requests from our members.  We will only be active through talking and meeting others with type one!  It is also a great opportunity for us to thank our supporters and volunteers who enable us to run the events we do for people with type one diabetes. 
 
We will also have special guest (and Bendigo resident) Simon Bennett from the US based Team Type 1 who competed in the 2009 Race Across America.
 
Please join us at the laid back Park Hotel in Abbotsford for a catchup, introduction or drink.  Details below.
 

When: Sunday December 6, 2009

Where: The Park Hotel
191 Nicholson Street, Abbotsford.

From: 3pm onwards. 
Drinks at the bar, and food is served from 3pm.

How Do I Get There?
Nearest Public Transport stop is Collingwood, on the Epping/Hurstbridge line.
Parking is available in the side streets.

Who: All people with type one, their friends, and their family.  Come and meet HypoActive regulars, first timers, and supporters.  Got questions about any of our events?  Perfect.  Other questions will also be accepted, along with beer.

Guest Speaker: Simon Bennett
Simon Bennett has recently returned from eight months in the US riding in the Team Type 1 Development Squad.  He was also a member of the Team Type 1 record breaking win in the Race Across America in June 2009.  Come and chat to Simon about managing type one diabetes during such a gruelling event.
