HypoActive Rider Monique Hanley to Compete in Worlds Toughest Cycle Race, the Race Across America

Riding with Team Type 1, Monique will depart the coast of San Diego on June 12 and alongside seven other type one diabetics, will ride continuously until they reach their destination of Atlantic City, some 4,900km away.
Team Type 1 aims for RAAM are threefold: to complete the challenge as the fastest team, promote awareness of the importance of good diabetes management, and raise money towards finding a cure for diabetes.
