Friday night, Feb 13 2009 saw the third, and strongest HypoActive MegaSwim hit the pool to try and surpass previous years efforts. Armed with the funkiest towels ever seen and baked goods galore 15 swimmers and 3 support crew swam and counted laps for 24 hours.
A stellar effort was put in by all with the team achieving the furthest distance swam by a HypoActive team to date - completing a massive 61.4kms! For those who don't swim, that's a very impressive 1,228 laps of a 50m pool
Some serious fundraising also occurred prior to the event with a record $4,224.00 raised by the team to date - if you missed out on sponsoring the team it's not too late! Click here to make an online donation.
More detailed reports will follow shortly (once our swimmers have recovered from staying up all night and smashing out the k's!). In the meantime check out the pics in the Photos section.
