A Weekend at Munjara

Munjara is a camp located around 6km from Heyfield in eastern Victoria.  Once you arrive at the camp you can park your car and forget about driving.  The good mountain bike trails start from the back door and explore the Blores Hill Mountain Bike Park, consisting of sweet single track with a variety of trails to suit everyone and keep even the most advanced mountain bikers more than occupied!

Our host for the weekend doubles as the camp caretaker and heads up the track maintenance at the Park.  We couldn't get a better guide if we tried!  Not only will he show you the best stuff, he will also show how to ride the best stuff.  Beginners will also have plenty of opportunity to learn to love the Mountain Biking scene.

If you are not so into the off-road stuff, there are nice road rides in the area too - flats, hills and everything in between.

Plus plenty of bushwalking, lakeside tranquility, and plenty of non-biking stuff too!

Things to know about the Weekend

1.  The date has changed - it is now on September 3-5.  Please make sure you are still available on this weekend, and if you are not, please let us know as soon as you can.
2. It is a very cheap weekend and a great deal.  $60 will cover:
Breakfast and Lunch - Saturday and Sunday
Accommodation - Friday and Saturday
You will need to bring sleeping gear (pillows, sleeping bag and/or doona.  Blankets are provided), toiletries and towels etc
You will also need to bring your own mountain bike and bike gear (including helmet and bidon).  Please let me know if you need any equipment as we can help.
We will have group breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon tea which is included in the cost.
3.  Dinner Friday night (if you are up to the camp early enough) and Saturday night will be at a funky cafe in Heyfield and comes highly recommended by camp owner and fellow type one-r, Greg Kaska.  This cost is not covered as part of the weekend.  We will carpool and go in as a group.

Know of anyone who might also be interested in attending?

We feel this is such a great opportunity for us to develop this as an annual event that we are keen to make sure it can happen the first time!  So, if you have a mountain bike buddy, or partner, or know of anyone (doesn't have to be type one) who would like to join us please let us know.  We are very comfortable with having a few more non type 1s (and non mountain bikers - doesnt matter) this year.  Hopefully we will get great write ups from the weekend which we will publish and circulate so that next year the interest grows and we get more people attending.  But for this year, we could do with a bit of help to make sure we can make this happen!  We need at least 15 people.

Confirmation and Payment

To confirm your attendance at this weekend can you please register your interest and we will follow up with you on how to pay etc.
