Put your running shoes on this Sunday, April 5th

13 runners have registered to be part of the HypoActive assault on the Run for the Kids this weekend.

Our short course runners and walkers will be leaving the starting line at 8.45am with the long course participants setting off at 9.00am. With 30,000 runners registered it may be hard to spot us in the crowd (keep your eyes peeled for our white Insulin Injected Engine running singlets!) however all are welcome to join the team for post race DC's and/or breakfast/cake at Time Out in Federation Square. Please contact Laura if you wish to meet the team there and praise us for our superhuman efforts!

The Run for the Kids is a fun run that raises money for the Royal Childrens Hospital (a location many of us know all too well!!) as part of the Good Friday Appeal. You can choose to complete either the full 14.1Kms or a more relaxed 5.7Kms. The 14.1km course passes through the Domain Tunnel, along the usually Westgate Freeway, then up over the Bolte Bridge and along the waterfront at Docklands. The 5.7km course takes in some of Melbourne’s famous landmarks such as the Yarra River, Birrarung Marr, Federation Square, and the Botanic Gardens There's some spectacular sights and views to be seen on both courses - as well as the opportunity to challenge yourself while doing something for the kids!
