Tim Bates or "timbo" was a friend and reality checker (www.realitycheck.org.au) who died last year. Sadly Tim passed away in the middle of the night due to hypoglycaemia. Tim was very passionatey about many things in life but most importantly skydiving and advances in diabetes research. On the 4th of November every skydiving dropzone around victoria will be raising money to help fund diabetes research which is being conducted at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute.
